Welcome to NGNS10

Marrakesh, Morocco, 8-10 July, 2010

Objectives: Next generation networks (NGNs) are now becoming a popular means of transport for all services and applications. The migration towards Next Generation Networks changes the network topology which potentially involves several structural changes, such as a reorganisation of core network nodes and changes in the number of network hierarchy levels. NGN will have a big impact on the future of computing and communications as networks become converged, higher speed and ubiquitous, leading to the emergence of new services.  The most important ingredient of NGN is a converged, QoS-aware packet infrastructure. This infrastructure must satisfy QoS criteria while also ensuring transparent service availability in any part of the network.

After the success of the first edition NGNS'09 (www.e-ngn.org/ngns09), NGNS’10 comes to confirm the NGN and services importance in the scientific research field and the industrial and economic interest of such structures. NGNS’10 has as objective to give report of the situation on the present state of research in the domains of next generation networks and services. It will be an opportunity to develop profitable collaborations and partnerships between researchers, academics, industrials and experts of the field
